over 45 years of experience in the steel industry.
An alumnus of IIT Roorkee
and MNIT,
he began his professional journey at BHEL before founding
Friends Ispat Ltd. in 1998.
His vision transformed a
single manufacturing unit into
Friends Steel Group — one of
Gujarat’s leading steel brands,
operating nine modern plants with a production capacity of
18,000 MT per month.
Known for his ethical leadership and
deep industry expertise,
he also serves as the President of the Gujarat Steel Re-Rolling Mill Association,
representing 65+ units.
He is widely respected for his
strategic insight,
innovation, and
mentorship within the steel sector.
Mr. Anshum Goyal is a
strategic and result-driven leader with
20+ years of experience in the steel industry.
Under his leadership, Friends Steel Group has grown into a
major industry player with nine advanced plants and a
monthly production capacity of 18,000 MT.
He has led key milestones such as launching
Gujarat’s largest automatic rolling mill, building a
1,100+ dealer network, and driving
vertical integration across operations.
An MBA from IMI New Delhi,He combines
strong financial acumen with
industry insight and a
sustainability-focused approach, making him a
respected figure in steel manufacturing and
policy forums.
Mr. Ankit Goyal is a
versatile leader with
13+ years of experience across
steel manufacturing, infrastructure, investment banking,
and consulting.
An IIM Calcutta rank-holder and
NTU Singapore graduate, he began his professional journey with
Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered, and
McKinsey & Co.
Since 2013, he has been driving
growth and operations at Friends Steel Group and has previously
managed large-scale infrastructure projects across 7 states.
